Concrete Driveway FAQs
A typical residential concrete driveway takes 7 to 10 working days from demo to final cure, weather permitting. Larger driveways or stamped finishes can extend the timeline. We provide a project-specific schedule once the scope is confirmed at the design stage.
Both are durable and long-lasting. The choice comes down to look and budget. Stamped adds visual character (slate, flagstone, custom patterns) at a higher price. Plain concrete is cleaner and slightly less expensive. We walk you through the trade-offs at the design stage so you can make an informed call.
A standard residential driveway is 4 inches thick over a properly compacted sub-base. For driveways that handle heavier vehicles, RVs, or commercial use, we increase to 5–6 inches with steel reinforcement. We confirm the right spec for your property at the site visit.
Concrete shrinks as it cures, and small surface cracks can develop over the years. That's why we install control joints and use proper reinforcement, to direct any movement to discrete, pre-planned locations. With correct base prep, reinforcement, and sealing, a well-built driveway holds up for decades.
Yes. Demo, haul-away, and disposal of the old driveway are included in our quote unless you tell us otherwise. We handle excavation, grading, and sub-base prep before the new pour begins.
